The BK on Pittsburgh Magazine Launches!

Did you see? Did you hear? I am so excited to share that The Brazen Kitchen on Pittsburgh Magazine Online launched this week! The BK on PghMag will be a weekly online column that will feature recipes the BK way – shamelessly good for you. In this issue I talk about how to cook the weeds in your yard. That’s right WEEDS! Stinging nettles, garlic mustard and chickweed! Things you love to run over with your weed wacker. Who woulda thought you could make utterly delicious gourmet meals out of them (and ssssh, they are full of nutrients!)

The best salad dressing ever.

I know that sounds hyperbolic but take it from someone who thinks salad is anathema in the cold months. And here in Pittsburgh, that would be 3/4 of the year — in this tropical girl’s definition of “cold”.

Hence, while I love vegetables, this ditty from The Simpsons has been my anthem for years.
